Mass deportations might seem like the right answer but how can we do so in an ethical amd affordable way? I propose the following:
First: we allow undocumented immigrants that have been here for a long time (10+ years) go to designated government buildings to apply for their papers. Proof must be provided but in turn we give these workers transitional visas. Keep in kind these immigrants have been a part of our economy for years and removing them could have negative impacts. With these temporary visas they can get legal jobs or legalize their current businesses. This allows for them to contribute and pay taxes as well.
Second:
For the immigrants that have come recently. They have the option to leave the country or be sponsored by an American citizen after a thorough background check. The sponsor is therefore legally and financially obligated to provide for them. They have to wait their turn to apply for citizenship and can work with a temporary visas that they must renew or leave the country.

I’m sorry, this seems a very kindly meant proposal and if we were dealing with some few unfortunate souls who came adrift here, then I’d say we should be all for it. However, I think this is missing some key information.
I was going to continue with my response here, but I’m concerned it might seem like trying to blast your proposal and I’m not trying to be mean to you, I simply feel there’s some big important things not factored into this proposed course of action. So I’ll go make my own thread rather than hijack yours.
