All voters have the opportunity to get a government issued ID. To say that they are unable to do so is ridiculous. If people are not smart enough to follow simple directions then they should not be able to vote.
Mail and vote needs to be eliminated or maybe just for the military, it is too easy to cheat in elections when you have mail and voting, you need to look no further than all the states that have male voting and the elections have always swung in One Direction, it is corrupt
The same can be said about illegal voting when it comes to electronic voting machines and the ability for a programmer to modify the code and switch votes, we need paper ballots only, specifically the type of ballots that can pick up fingerprints and DNA
I would suggest that this not be the rule an ID is required to have a Photo, Drivers license. Passport, both of these have ID’s a School Id has a photo, I have seen 2 forms of ID if no photo ID, but EDD and other entities require a Photo no if ands or buts.
I agree. Federal voting laws are unconstitutional.
This right here
Real ID is a physical identification. It’s just a marking on your State issued ID/Driver License that signifies that you are a US Citizen, and can be used to make land crossings between the US/Mexico and US/Canada instead of using a US passport. This can be done when one renews their State ID card/Driver License, it’s a one-time process where the person must summit required documentation (US passport/certificate of citizenship or a US birth certificate for naturalized citizens). Once US citizenship has been confirmed, the person’s State issued ID card/Driver License gets a marking on the upper right hand corner as proof that the ID/Driver License holder is in fact a US Citizen.
Absolutely NOT! The US Constitution is for the US Citizens. Nowhere does it say that our constitutionally protected rights are to be shared with those that are not here on a legal basis. It is for We The People, a.k.a. the US Citizenry.
It also links you to a global & international system by collecting facial recognition. So, your biometric information is shared globally & internationally through ISO. Here’s an older article for you.
hand count paper ballot with a water mark or ink to id
state legal id of citizen and same day voting make it a holiday to celebrate America and our vote
Amy, I hate to share this with you, but the fact of the matter is that all of that did NOT start when they rolled out the Real ID addition. It’s been possible ever since the new State issued ID/Driver License cards were being issued at around the mid-late 1990’s. It’s just that now it is much easier for both domestic and international hackers to gain access to state/federal govt. databases. What we must concentrate is to put heavy security measures to make sure that this doesn’t keep happening. And also just so you know, it is also happening every time you travel, as more and more US airports have been installing those camera systems with facial recognition. You can opt out of it when you go thru security, but you have to remember to tell them when you go thru TSA/Customs. Personally, I also wear a face mask when traveling via airports and/or taking mass public transit systems to prevent my face from being picked up by those “security” cameras. It’s your right to remain anonymous when out in public, and it’s also protected by the US constitution.
can you please add a way for disabled individuals who cannot get to the poles, a way to vote online, in a way that is transparent, legal, and valid with no way to interfere or steal that vote. please
@KKohr: Here is my latest post advocating for paper ballots and manual counting. Taiwan did it for its latest 2024 presidential elections several months ago.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. did propose that U.S. post offices in rural areas can assist voters there to apply for voter ID in the form of a passport card. That way, rural voters do not have to drive far to a Department of Motor Vehicles, and spend long hours in line to apply for a driver’s license or state ID card.
How about a receipt as to how your vote was counted ? I simple piece of paper showing how your vote was counted and a button to confirm.
Think about it, you get a receipt for just about everything else you do but not who you voted for.
There are already states that issue driver licenses to illegals. RealID is a program offered to all states, but some ignore its requirements. At least it’s an existing standard, that if properly administrated and enforced, would work.
…I think you might have linked the wrong post…and I think we disagree so…just a heads up
I imagine that’s a good solution… but I don’t really know how that works for crypto let alone how it could work to protect votes. (I imagine i am not alone ). I’ll do some research before I agree but it seems like you’re onto something.
We can use the National Minimum Drinking Age Act as a framework for the bill. If you’re unfamiliar with what that bill did, in 1984 the federal government to levy penatlies on states that failed to enact a legal drinking age of 21within a certain time. The penalty was applied to funds provided to the states from the federal government for highway maintenance at a rate of 10%. What do you all think?
Yes you are correct about that. NYC is one of those municipalities that started issuing State issued ID cards/Driver Licenses to illegal aliens, and it is for that reason that the idea of the “Real ID” marking came about. To differentiate between a regular state issued ID holder and one who is a verified US Citizen. It’s quite a shame we have to go to that extent, but that proves the point that the corrupt democ_Rats ruin and destroy everything good that they come in contact with.
There must be a federal law that mandates states/municipalities to comply with the requirements for the “Real ID”, and anyone found guilty of not following those requirements must be held accountable with hard prison time and hefty fines.
i support a national Voter ID law.
I do see a few issues with how we vote today.
Following the 2020 election closely, and the issues with the voting machines, I feel that a safer method might be a RFID card ( or maybe use the DL or State ID) to " sign into or access" the voting machine, This will tie you, the physical person to your vote. Then, I would like to see an option where I can go to my voter info on a State website, and see that my vote was recorded correctly. I do feel that we should not be allowed to see each other’s vote, but we should be allowed the piece of mind to know that our vote was not changed.
Please tell the Republicans in Washington DC that, we know that cheating and manipulations occur on both sides of the isle, and we will never forget what they did to Ron Paul at the Republican Conferance. They want to be mad about what happened to Mumbles (Biden) but their just as guilty.
