Voter policies and ID

  1. A free national photo ID. You will need to provide proof of citizenship, address, a signature and a fingerprint.
  2. Must be registered, or make adress changes 30 days before an election. No same day changes.
  3. Voter rolls must be erased and everyone must re-register every 4 years so roles are kept current.
  4. No mail in ballots except for military and the disabled. Those ballots mut be notorized and the person’s fingerprint must be on it.
  5. A separate machine should be used for mail in ballots.
  6. Election should be on Saturday and Sunday.
  7. There must be adequate polling places so everyone can vote during the 2 day period without long lines.
  8. No early voting
  9. There sould be an equal amount of observers, from all parties, at each polling place.
  10. Voting machine must be made in the US and not by companies owned by a politician or family member, in or running for office.
  11. Voting machines must not be connected to the internet.
  12. Voters will scan their cards, and have their finger print scanned on the voting maching along with a signature.
  13. After making their choices, the voter will get a printed receipt that show their choices with a date and time stamp.
  14. Each machine will count the votes as they are made and a written report wil be made after the polls close on sunday night.
  15. All mail in ballots must be received by the time polls close on Sunday.
  16. All counts must be finished by midnight of that Sunday.

On number 4, I believe that students that are away for college should be included.
I also believe that on number 8, that early voting should absolutely happen. This allows citizens to vote with less disruption to schedules and missing work, etc.
