Begin a federal insurance plan for all those working in healthcare. We no longer draw the best or the brightest because of the schedules and terrible benefits. I’ve had a PAP smear on my day off and had to work in the OR with that physician the next day. I’ve always had more expensive and less coverage than my parents who worked in a meat processing plant. Healthcare employees would still pay for this, but it should be good insurance at a fair price. Do McDonald’s employees not get free or very reduced hamburgers and fries?! You can’t make healthcare better for all Americans until you make it better for the employees. You do it for the military, the government why not us who never close our doors? We get hit, cussed and work during catastrophes when others flee! Draw more workers instead of making promises we can’t fulfill with no staff!
