Americans Make Final Vote on Federal Spending

Instead of the Federal Government deciding to fund specific projects, company funds, or billions going to different countries for whatever reasons they see fit, allow American citizens to have the final say on where our tax dollars are going.

Open up an open Forum like Policies for the People on a government level, open to American citizens (only) with verified identities to vote on spending bills before they can be passed.

We have been funding projects and policies that benefit other countries and companies tremendously without the votes of the American people to have a say where our tax dollars are going.

This will encourage the government to present bills to be passed that are in alignment with what the American people want, and give more insight into government funding, as well as encourage the American people to be more informed about what other countries or companies are going to do with our tax dollars.

We would also ask for an itemized statement on what the money is going to be used for, and verification that the money went to where they said it was going to go.

This would include a ban on the money circling back to politicians. All humanitarian aid would need to go to humanitarian causes, which must provide details on where the funding went, and how the funds were used, to ensure that the money goes to the cause they say it’s for.

In this bill, we would also need thorough explanations of why they would be funding other countries, projects, or corporations, and we would need 3-6 months to evaluate the information and come to a conclusion before a bill can be passed, to ensure research has been completed on the project by the People. All Projects, Companies and Countries receiving American funds would have to prove to the American people why our money should be funding them, and why it is our responsibility to fund it instead of their own.

Please comment anything you’d like to add to this.
