We have seen numerous times where Federal Agencies and Intelligence Agencies have acted with gross negligence in regards to their duties.
Terrorists who are on the radar that are allowed to carry out their plans.
Gun running with the ATF.
Open borders that lead to drug smuggling and crime.
Election interference.
Poisoning our food and medicine.
Destroying farms and food supply.
Prioritizing non-citizens over citizens with funds.
There should be an Act that will hold these Agencies accountable when they act or operate in such a manner that causes undo harm upon the American people. An internal audit and review board made up of citizens should be selected to review cases where fines, termination, or criminal charges can be proposed.
The citizens selected to review the cases should be added to a lottery of participants who are vetted to ensure they are not overtly political. They should be between the ages of 35 to 70 years old, demonstrate sound mind and judgement, and able to pass a basic security clearance. They would meet virtually in a secure, encypted chat room hosted by the Administration and recieve documents via a government access portal. Reviewers are selected at random for one month at a time and can not be reselected for 12 months after serving on the review board.
Any member of a Congressional oversight commitee or state’s Governor would ultimately be in charge of submitting cases for review. They would also be in charge of supplying the initial facts of the case. The Administration can submit supplemental documentation as they feel necessary to aid in any defense of they accused in case there is more to the story.
The facts of the case should be presented in a blind manner where details can not be used to skew the outcome of the review. If a percentage of auditors believe the case submitted lacks merit or is frivolous, they can reject the case or request a resubmission.
Fines and terminations can be handled by the Admin but must be enforced based on the recommendation of the review board. If criminal prosecution is suggested, the DOJ would pursue charges.
If the cases involve an issue where “higher ups” are ultimately to blame, the fault will land with any managers involved in the decision making process.
This will help with the climate of “the government” investigating itself where no one is ever held accountable and they end up operating for their own interests or the interest of third parties.
