Yearly or Monthly Payments to Caregivers

Provide a monthly or yearly stipend to family’s/caregivers who have children with special needs. Particularly those of children who are medically fragile, are intellectually disabled, are low to medium functioning with autism or other spectrum disorders. Caring for our children - especially past the age of 18 or 21 is extremely difficult. With limited resources it is up to parents/caregivers to split caring for the child and a job. If you can’t have a job because the care of the child is so great, that is loss of income. It’s also extremely taxing from a mental and emotional standpoint as a child gets older and services become less available.
