Doctors and specialists should not be able to refuse women the procedures to be temporarily or permanently steralized based off of age, relationship status or number of children they have had. Women who decide they do not wish to have children, and the women who feel they do not want additional children should have the right to choose tubal ligation vs other hormone alternatives that may effect them in negative and serious ways. We do not regulate men getting vasectomies and even have promotional advertising in some areas for vasectomies, yet a lot of woman when deciding chlid birth is not the path for them they are faced with vast chemical and hormonal birth control options that can lead to serious side effects and are often denied procedures like tubal ligation because they don’t check enough of the requirements.
