specific Problem: Veterans have been neglected by the government, for a long time, homeless, lack of medical care, financially, the VA Administration as well the VA hospitals have been overwhelmed as well failed Veterans.
Current Situation; more homeless veterans every day, Veterans dying waiting for there appointment at the VA Hospitals, veterans commiting suicide more each day, they are losing homes lack of finances during disasters they received no help to do the things they need to do like rebuild their home.
Evidence: we see it all the time of homeless on our streets, news reports on all of it, us Veterans talk to each other about it all.
Approach: since the government has failed all of us, there are a lot of Non for Profit organization that have stepped up to help out Veterans, organization like. Hope for 22 a day, they help homeless with supplies for the winter, they also send supplies to deployed military, anthem one Vet life 4 life Veterans, they help in a lot of ways, they have helped Veterans financially, even when a veteran goes missing they put out alerts for everyone to start looking for them, they have events to raise money to help Veterans, plus many other none profit, that have started up.
I feel the government can do things to assist these none profit, financially to get them the help they need to do more, after all they stepped up when the government has failed us.
Results: the cost of helping these non profit, would cost the government less by assisting them, where they would be able to do more events and help more Veterans, get tye help we all need. Of course the VA Administration would have to still be reformed to help out as well and the VA Hospitals, will also have to do better to give the care us Veterans need. On top the government would show us, that we are more then a piece of trash as we all feel after discharge from the military, the for gotten.
