United Defense Initiative

Federal Policy: Consolidation of Military Branches into Unified Armed Forces

Section 1: Purpose and Rationale

The purpose of this policy is to streamline the structure of the U.S. military by consolidating existing branches into a single unified military organization. This initiative aims to reduce redundancy, eliminate overlapping leadership roles, and achieve cost savings in the development and procurement of equipment, weapons, uniforms, and other operational necessities. This will enhance collaboration, improve efficiency, and strengthen national defense capabilities.

Section 2: New Organizational Structure

• All current branches—the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Space Force, and Coast Guard—will become divisions within the newly unified United States Armed Forces (USAF).

• Each division will retain its specialized functions and areas of expertise but will operate under a unified command and resource management structure.

Section 3: Command and Leadership

• The USAF will be led by a single Chief of Armed Forces, appointed by the President and confirmed by Congress.

• Each division will have its own Commanding Officer who reports to the Chief of Armed Forces.

• Leadership roles within the divisions will be restructured to prevent duplication and streamline the command hierarchy.

Section 4: Resource Management

• Centralized procurement of weapons, equipment, and uniforms will eliminate inconsistencies and save costs.

• Joint development programs for technology and defense systems will ensure compatibility and reduce unnecessary spending.

• A unified logistics and supply chain system will improve distribution and resource allocation.

Section 5: Uniforms and Training

• A standardized set of uniforms will be developed, featuring division-specific insignia and adaptations as needed.

• Training programs will include joint exercises and unified protocols, fostering cohesion across divisions.

Section 6: Implementation and Oversight

• The consolidation will start with a 12-month planning phase, followed by phased integration over 3-5 years.

• Oversight committees of military and civilian experts will monitor progress and ensure transparency.

• Regular reports to Congress will facilitate legislative oversight.

Section 7: Cost Savings and Efficiency Gains

• Savings from this policy will be reinvested into personnel benefits, advanced training, and modernized defense systems.

• Efficiency gains will enable faster adaptation to emerging threats and better resource allocation for readiness.

Section 8: Review and Adjustments

• The policy will be reviewed after 5 years to assess cost reduction, effectiveness, and readiness improvements.

• Adjustments will be recommended as necessary.
