Most laws created by congress should have a baked in time limit and if it isn’t extended by a simple majority by congress the law would be removed.
Today we have laws that were enacted in the 18th and 19th century that are still the law today, this isn’t necessarily an issue since most laws that aren’t relevant to modern society aren’t enforced but there are cases where they can be used in a way they weren’t originally designed too.
I believe most laws should have a 50 year time limit to start with and if they are renewed they should be for 10 years at a time, if congress wants to rewrite the law it should be completely removed and replaced
