Term & Age Limits

Term Limits are a top 3 issue to maintain the integrity of our legislative and executive branches. While POTUS has a term limit and minimum age, the branch doesn’t have a maximum age. Bidens presidency has proven that an age maximum is absolutely necessary (Sorry President Trump, but it wouldnt affevt you). I also believe the optics of putting in a policy that would have been detrimental to him, would be good. The maximum age should be 65 (67 maybe). Essentially, retirement age.

Both Houses of Congress have become the wild west where our legislators go to retire and pillage their constituents pocketbooks. They get rich and retire on our dime. What happened to the duty to serve? 2 terms for Senators (12 years lifetime) with a max age of 65 or 67. 3 terms for HOR (6 years lifetime) with a max age of 65 or 67.

Also, max age is not to be reached before the end of their last term. If they will be past that age, they either cant run or an exception process would need to be created. Also, stop the insider trading!

I wholeheartedly agree with term limits and age limits, but would like to see the maximum age that anyone could run for any office would be when the person reaches 68. That would mean that a Senator could run for office at age 68, but then he or she would be out of office by age 74. A President would be out of office by age 72, and a House Representative would be out of office by age 70.

Tie the age limit to the age when social security kicks in. If congress believes a certain age is considered retirement then they should also retire.
