Public school teacher here. The parents are actually the worst about this. Calling and texting kids during my class! The phones are ruining our kids and teachers can’t do their jobs. Please ban or have a strict policy or lockers they have to lock them in all day. Thank you!

My children attend private school and they have to leave their phones in their locker. I agree with you children are distracted enough and there is no reason for cell phones in classrooms.

If parents and students can’t get with the program that cellphones is a disruption to education then there should be cell phone jammers throughout the entire school. There should also be a form that a parent signs stating that if their child has a cell phone then that phone must be placed inside a classroom cellphone locker in the front of the classroom. If there’s an emergency then the student or parent should communicate via the office phone. There should also be an age limit to be allowed to bring a phone to school.
They have this in private schools…that’s why I say our tax dollars should go to the school of our choice, that have our values.

Yes, but ban them completely for all school premesis for everyone. If you can’t smoke near children, then why should you be able to radiate them with your “phone’s” deadly microwaves that are far worse? Ban WIFI in schools completely and any other “smart” sources of this deadly microwave radiation (including vaxxed ppl). No microwave emitting depopulation/mind control “cell” towers should be allowed within 17 miles of any school - or anything biological for that matter.
