Repurpose the Military for Fitness Training

It would be amazing if the military, during “times of peace” (which could be if it wasn’t actively seeking war) would prioritize helping the population become fit and healthy.

It’s worth pointing out that unhealthy lifestyles and absence of fitness has statistically killed more than any war or terrorist group.

So, it’s not like there is not a real, tangible threat. There is. It’s just that the solution doesn’t involve killing, but training and supporting.

And it’s well observed that a healthier population reduces healthcare costs, and improves productivity and economic prosperity; not to mention it’s just simply a healthier and more vibrant population.

Another HUGE plus is that a more fit population actually is much more ready to take on a war, when it’s actually needed, because, you just have much more of a ready-to-go supply of people to help with the war efforts.

It’s just a winning strategy, on all sides. The only loss is war-profiteering, which, should be the highest crime on Earth – as it devastates people on all sides, for a very long time.

I’d open up this discussion to the brilliant and capable men and women of the army to come up with the best plans of action for how to take on the task of facilitating a healthier and more fit nation.

I’d just want the policy to set the mission for them, in very clear terms.

  1. America MUST become fit ASAP.
  2. The military MUST allocate all non-required personnel and resources towards improving the health of the nation.
  3. The path of improving fitness MUST improve the quality of life (ie. the population should not be terrorized into improvement— everything should be done with consent; people should sign up for this, but the military should hold them accountable, and help them develop their discipline and consistency, as well as technique).
  4. Those who facilitate the most progress are promoted.

That’s it.

I think America can lead this unprecedented and revolutionary movement, and other countries will follow America’s lead.

THIS is an important piece of the puzzle for how to have world peace, and how to make it sustainable.

How about 2 year compulsory military training for all 18-20 year olds not enrolled in college full time? They would be paid, trained physically, weapons training and taught skills that would translate in the real world for a profession- many would want to stay in the military.

I think my son would like to have military training, but the vaccine mandates have put the whole family off. He had problems with his childhood vaccines and the idea of so many at once is an absolute dealbreaker for him and for us to support it. He remembers how hard it was to get over.
