Military Spouse and Children Health

Military members are held to certain standards of health to stay in the military.

The spouses and children should be held to similar health standards as well.

I say this with family and friends being in the military and having lived in heavy military areas.

Some I have seen over the years could stand to lose some weight. Kids a bit more leniency as they’re growing, but there are limits to this.

The salaries and such of military are paid for by we the people. We shouldn’t have a fit military person with a morbidly obese spouse and children.

Infringes on personal freedoms, as spouses and children are civilians.

Health and weight are influenced by genetics and medical conditions.

Increased stress on families already dealing with military life challenges.

Impractical to enforce such standards for military families.

How about offering voluntary wellness programs with access to fitness and nutrition resources. This will encourage healthy habits without imposing strict requirements.
