To counteract some of the negative attacks of being pro life the Republican Party should propose an aggressively pro family bill. Advocate for longer maternity leave policies, subsidized daycare for middle and lower class families, and job opportunity programs for new families. This will incentivize more children being born and negate a lot of the negative attacks towards the pro life movement
I think it is a more fair idea to create an economy in which we could afford to care for our own children. Maybe so mothers could raise their own kids instead of farming them out to providers. I disagree that taxpayers should subsidize daycare. Parents should provide that themselves. They do provide this in some countries but the tax burden is crazy. And you dont get to necessarily choose the best situation, but rather, what the government is willing to provide.
Fair enough. For what it’s worth I’m about as anti government program as it gets and I agree with all of the underlying ideals you just mentioned. This is far more aimed in a political direction to bruise one of the only policy platforms they have left. @Kelly_McInerney
I can support this. After all, ex prisoners get preferential treatment for jobs sometimes. Why not average families trying to raise kids, too?
