No School Tax for Private School Parents

For all parents of school aged children who are choosing to pay for private schools due to not trusting the public school system with the wellbeing of their child and their education- should be able to get every cent that they pay in taxes for the public school system back to use towards the cost of paying for private school options. The schools have decided for too long that they know better than the parents and even when we pull our children out of the public school systems- who refuse to listen to us and what we want for our children (no CRT, no gender identity, etc)- they still receive the same funding so there is no reason for them to change. While the parents pay money out of their own pockets to send children to private schools or Christian schools to be more confident in the messages getting taught to their children. So we essentially pay twice (through taxes and then private school tuition) for the education our kids deserve. Some parents don’t have the finances to pay for private schools and have to send their children to public schools.

If the parents of school aged children who choose not to send their children to the public schools were exempt from public school taxes it would incentivize the public school system to care and listen to the parents. It would also allow more parents to choose where their children attend school- instead of private school being so far out of reach for so many.

School Choice, have your taxes go to your private school instead of public school.

Yeah but that doesn’t do anything for the parents who are essentially paying twice for their child’s grade school education because they don’t trust the public school system. Nor does it make it more affordable and allow access to other parents who can’t afford the tuition at private schools. Being able to get those tax dollars back or not be taxed at all and to apply to the private school cost is the goal
