Limit which items people using food stamps can purchase. Chips, soda, snacks, steak, all of these unnecessary and expensive foods should not be covered. This is supposed to be for a hardship, not buying cakes, ice cream, soda ect. I stand behind these people in the store deciding what i don’t really need, while they have 1 or 2 carts loaded with all name brand unnecessary items. Make it more like the WIC program. They get X amount of cereals per month and only certain ones, x amount of bread, x amount of milk ect. This will help with the cost of these programs and also help get people off the assistance.
