I see the problem with it too. Can you think of another way to encourage people to get off of welfare and get out of the cycle of poverty? People are refusing better wages because they say it essentially becomes a pay cut because of the loss of benefits. We need to encourage people to become more self sufficient and encourage them to not rely on the government forever.
