Cut welfare spending massively by using it for good outcomes!

Some people can’t afford to work because they make more on welfare. This is backwards! Subsidize a person‘s income for a period of time until they can find a higher paying job or reduce their expenses. The government subsidy plus income should always equal more than welfare alone. A person should never make more money not working than they do working.

This would immediately reduce welfare spending by the amount that people are earning in their job, potentially saving billions of dollars In government spending.

Also, single people currently make more money on welfare than married people. This has created an incentive to be a single parent, which is devastating our low-income communities. Benefits should be equal, whether someone is married or not, thus promoting expansion of the nuclear family and helping to reduce the welfare culture.

Hope this is clear!

We need a better step down process. Example i had a friend who got promoted. Gained$1 dollar more an hr. Due to this he also lost over 1k a month in subsidy. Thus he stepped down from the promotion. You can’t allow someone to lose 10x the amount their job gave them. Now had he lost 200 compared to receiving an additional 160 a month from his job. He would have made it with I’m sure. These are parts of the problem in the system. Also WIC is highly monitored what you can buy. Food stamps are not this is also a problem. You shouldn’t be eating out at restaurants on food stamps. Eating out is a privilege not a right. This is also why they have so much “vacation” spending on EBT in MANY states.

Welfare shouldn’t exist at all!
