Many teachers and students are able to have an ID which offers many benefits such a discounts, access to certain places and events, and a sense of autonomy.
Homeschooling families often miss the opportunity to have these things and as a result miss out on opportunities.
Homeschooling families, parents and students should be able to be recognized as entities and have the same equality.
Also, there are opportunities children get in public school that are not available to homeschooling families such as the accelerated reader program. Homeschooling families should be able to participate for FREE. We are taxed enough for the schools but don’t get to gain the benefits.
A spending account would be nice for things like curriculum vs a tax credit. Things like curriculum, field trips, higher education opportunities, skills classes, social and physical education, etc.
