H1BVisa

Please make it MORE expensive for a company to hire a foreigner! Many hardworking STEM geniuses cannot find jobs because they go to cheap H1BVisa workers instead.
Add a 20% tax on H1B Visa foreign workers.
H-1B visa workers in the U.S. have certain exceptions or special cases where some taxes might not apply:

1.	Social Security and Medicare Taxes (FICA):
•	In some cases, H-1B workers who are in the U.S. temporarily and maintain their residence in a country that has a Totalization Agreement with the U.S. (such as India) might be exempt from paying Social Security and Medicare taxes. These agreements are designed to prevent workers from being taxed twice on their social security earnings by both countries.
2.	Certain Treaty Benefits:
•	Some countries have tax treaties with the U.S. that may exempt workers from paying certain types of income tax or reduce the rate at which taxes are applied. The specifics depend on the country of origin.

In addition, they accept lower wages and the money they make is sent home to help their country instead of ours!

20% tax on foreign workers is too low. Make it 50% minimum.

Indians are willing to work for half the rate of Americans because living 3 people to a bedroom in the USA is better than having an apartment to yourself in India. Companies will put out job advertisements, do interviews, and offer horrible wages or simply close the position so they can go back to the government and beg to hire cheap H1B workers.

And once an Indian, or Chinese, is put in any sort of position that has hiring power they are extremely racist in their hiring and will only hire their own people. I’ve seen it at multiple companies, an Indian gets promoted to engineering manager and every person they hire from then on is Indian.

Get rid of them all. Once we do, can you imagine how much cheaper housing will be? Maybe young couples would be able to buy a house and start a family finally.

Well said.

This is how big tech and big pharma make huge profits by hiring cheap H1B workers over American citizens.
Those Indian or Chinese immigrants do not speak up, and the companies keep taking advantage of them. In the end, the monsters who used to abuse power and money were created.

It has to end. Hire Americans for America.

The h1b visa is supposed to be for when there are no Americans that can do the job. Not just no Americans that want to do the job for the offered salary.

There need to be real legal issues when Disney fires all of the Americans and replaces them with h1b workers at a fraction of the cost.

I created this policy and I would appreciate your feedback.

My IT job got outsourced to India. It is worst than the manufacturing job being sent out of the USA. Those IT jobs will never be back. Even the IT jobs in the USA aren’t offered to Americans because they go to H1B Visa workers.

There are no incentives for employers to not outsource to India or not hire H1B Visa workers from India.

IT departments are dominated by H1B Visa workers. It is impossible for an American to get an IT job where the hiring manager is from India, which is a majority of the time.

The H1B Visa workers band together and only hire others from their home country.

The IT department takes on the culture that dominates the department. If the IT department is a majority from India, the culture reflect more of a cast system approach.

In many cases. Americans may be the only IT resource on a project team with H1B Visa workers. The H1B Visa workers refuse to speak English (only Hindi) while discussing project activities so the Americans have no idea what is being said in the project work room.

If an American is a threat because the American demonstrates talent, the H1B Visa workers bully the American team member. Also they communicate in large numbers false information to management the American is a poor job performer in order to get rid of the American and replaced with another H1B Visa worker, who happens to be a friend. If 10 H1B Visa say it is a fact, no one questions instead they are believed. It is almost like a mafia-run IT department or IT project when the IT department is 90% or more H1B Visa workers from India.

As a white female, my advice to a white female interested in a career in technology to steer clear. All the jobs go to resources from India who are in India or here with H1B Visa. White women in individual contributor roles are treated like they are third class citizens who have no intelligence.

If I was younger, I would get a trade skill to be a plumber or electrician. I’m too old to change careers now. I’m just trying to work until I pass retirement age. With the IT jobs leaving the USA for India and hiring of only H1B Visa workers from India, I’ll be lucky to get to work another 5 years when I need to work 15 more years.

In my experience, H1B Visa workers from India are getting the high paying IT jobs. This is because the hiring manager who is from India would rather hire an IT resource from their home country India than an American. Once H1B Visa workers from India dominate an IT department, they only hire their friends for open positions and push out Americans.

I heard about what Disney did when they outsourced. The Americans had to train their replacements in order to get severance pay. I had to do the same when my job got outsourced.

No incentive to not send job to India or not hire H1B Visa workers. Now H1B Visa workers have gotten all the IT growth opportunities while the American IT worker falls behind and can’t compete for IT jobs.

Those IT jobs sent overseas to India will never be back. And all the IT jobs give to H1B Visa workers from India are gone forever too. If I had a crystal ball years ago, I would never gone into technology. Instead I would have found a trade skill and skipped college. So much for that since I have my MBA in IT.

Absolutely. I was affected by lay offs after an indian company bought an American company and slowly knowledge transfered jobs away — but to very unskilled labor with fraudulent creds. Plus, they’re getting paid sweatshop salaries.
