End FEMA, use state management plans

End FEMA and have states implement or increase state wide readiness. It makes more sense for states and more local authorities to manage this as they are closer, have better understanding of the area, already have connections to local resources, and most importantly HAVE A VESTED INTEREST IN HELPING THEIR COMMUNITY! I do like this idea however; I believe FEMA still needs to be a part of the federal government just redone. I think the employees of FEMA are absolutely useless. In my opinion, the government should hire skilled labor workers to be able to build back communities. We need construction workers, plumbing, electrical, etc while working with the state. The state should also have power over FEMA where they’re implemented. They should work side by side not coming in to pass out paperwork and water.

the only fema we need is one accountant to issue checks to the people that did respond to the needy…they could become fema agents like deputies are deputized at the point of whatever disaster occurs any american can go help and be compensated for cost and time even…and loss at their own jobs even and i bet it would still be much cheaper than it costs us now… in other words pay americans to go help…have a system to deputize them for this disaster only…and it would be nice if you could actually do the job…so if you don’t drive a truck don’t do that … do what you can do…so some fema fairy with a magic wand can go sprinkle fairy dust amongst the able bodied americans that want to help anyway and some fat civil servant is not wasting time 3rd degreeing people in trouble…

Two major catastrophes that happened in the USA Maui and North Carolina that was not properly funded by FEMA in a timely manner. Homeland security allocated funds to help the undocumented migrants with a welcoming center and that money was to be allocated for people in need. Sadly many were asking for help on social media because some areas were not accesable. After hearing story after story , many received help from non profit and local citizens. My question is why we did not deploy the military to help stop the death toll. ? While FEMA can only allocate help to a small amount of people while others were in dire need begging for help. They said they found 11 people dead in a home because they were not helped in time. FEMA took supplies from non profit churches and resources and filled up their warehouse and locked it. Additionally 18 big rig trucks were filled with supplies from businesses and non profits…every single truck had their tires slashed. It doesnt make sense to me that anyone that was helping would do such a thing except for FEMA. I think FEMA has too much power they are entitled, they stay in 5 star hotels , they dont care about the people. They purposely enable people to have control for the only reason is to stay employed by the government. FEMA is to care for the people in need and a catastrophic event - this is so unAmerican.

Resolution:

  1. Change the emergency system under FEMA , eliminate or revamp their strategies to help people in need in a timely manner and reduce the death toll.
  2. The government should deploy the military to help immeadiate need for people on the ground that could be helicoptered in to a safe place. Watching the area for looters and stealing.
  3. Just like they made tents available for the millions that came over the border, they should have tents ready for families and people in need.
  4. Lobbiest,Corporations, Music Entertainers ( conserts) Billionaires and Millionaires get a tax break for giving money for a cause.
  5. Builders having the opportunity to give immeadiate help to rebuild a community by getting goverment funding.
  6. Finding a way to help clean up the catastrophe
  7. The Amish bulit homes, they said they are unliveable because the county says they didnt get permits or permission to build. Eliminate the red tape and expedite people to be able to move in right away.
  8. Eliminate qualifying for FEMA - if your a taxpayer - depending on how many people live in a household - each person is allowed certain amount of money and that money can be used towards rebuilding their home along with government funding from the builder.
  9. Find a way for keeping families together so children could live in a safe place. Child protective services should have never came and harrassed families and they were threatened by CPS to have them taken them away - especially after losing a home, everything they owned, losing family and now having to deal with a place to live. It seems to amaze me that for the lack of help by the Biden/ Kamala administration that government has implemented these laws when in fact the government is not abiding by their fuduciary obligation as a law abiding citizen as well as a tax payer for owning a home, paid property tax
and paid business taxes. These laws should be eliminated while in transition to safe housing implemented with help from the government.
  10. Land surveyors should be reaccessing property lines of each homeowner.
  11. Title insurance companies finding the rightful owner if deceased should be transferred by living trust, probate or will.
  12. Allow non profit and churches to help without having FEMA taking over.
  13. Pass laws eliminating FEMA workers to stay in 5 star hotels and they get expense accounts towards a maximum stay - Maximum nightly stay $150 hotel stay above or beyond that amount should be at their own expense.
  14. Audit how government funding is spent and allocated to the right resource
