If there was a way to convert decommissioned ships into living quarters for Veferans, it could eliminate Veteran Homlessness in alot of areas.
It could also provide jobs for some of them in their old carreer fields if they so desired. For instance, an Aircraft Carrier has a Nuclear Engine that coukd be manned by personnel that was trained to manage and control the piece of equipment to provide power for the entire community. You could even have Cooks, maintenance and a plethora of other jobs to support each facility.
