Right now, this is a state-by-state issue when as the numbers of autistic individuals is rising, it needs to be a federal issue. Working class parents cannot get their child on Medicaid unless placed on a waiver that are years long.
Parents are struggling to pay medical bills while also being in emotional turmoil, and depression. Please help these children and individuals get the services and medical equipment they desperately need and deserve. It should NOT be based on income because no amount of income can prepare you for something like this. It is extremely expensive to give your child the best chance at a quality life when they have a disability.

The first major problem with this proposal is that you will be incentivizing parents to find ways for their children to be classified as ‘disabled’ in order to secure free healthcare.
Not if its for the child only. Not giving the parents a check or anything. Strictly paying for therapies, treatments, hospital stays, tests, and equipment. For ONLY the disabled child.
My point still stands.
