I propose NO age limit for special needs children to stay on their parents health insurance. Special needs children of every age cannot afford health insurance
of their own. Once they age off they are put onto medicaid and discriminated against because medicaid doesn’t pay much. Then to keep them on a parents insurance we have to jump through hoops to make it happen, only for the insurance companies to turn around and decide to remove them again. I want either our children to be able to stay on our insurance indefinitely or an insurance program created that is equal to our insurance that pays well to help us take great care of them.

This is a great idea; they also should not age out of programs. It’s such a hard spot to be when you’re a parent of a special needs child and also need to work to hold insurance on them but then they age out of the programs they desperately need to be enrolled in. Special needs parents need help to be able to help their special children!

I agree, as long as the definition of special needs is clearly defined.
