All prisons should never be for profit and should not be privatized. This creates an incentive to hold prisoners weeks/months before they can appear for court and to not rehabilitate so they aren’t repeat offenders. Please work towards a bill that stops the prison system from failing the american people. Majority of the criminals deserve a chance to start over however jails do not give them the ability since its bad for their pockets.
