Ban the background checks for lot rent, rentals, and jobs for only while serving conviction, probation, or parole for felon or any crime.
And ban term felon. Allowing background checks for times after conviction times are served creates a second class citizen and makes it impossible at a minimum diffictult to live or work. If your time is served you should not be treated diffrent after your time. It also creates a high reoffending rate. I have been conviced of a crime i didnt commit and since then even after 7 years the convictions have stopped me from work and living. It has been 14 years and im still treated the same. Any convition other than a life sentence should not be treated like life sentence. When this country was founded, they were all felons and criminals to england. And in the 1700s when this country was formed they would not take your rights for life if you comitted a crime.
