Ban non-citizens from owning land

Our land and property is being bought by foreign corporations and millionaires. It’s hard for our people to afford real estate without being outbid by foreign agents. We should not have non-citizens be able to buy land or property in the US.

This keeps the countries greatest assets, natural resources, in the hands of its citizens. It also eliminates the fear that foreign countries subvert the interest of the American people.

This will also cut down on foreign lobbies t lobbying our government for special rules for factory farms or plants. It will make it so no Chinese company can by land right next to our military bases.

I understand the sentiment behind this idea but I think it needs to be tailored down to only single family residences, sensitive land locations and agricultural land. The problem with this suggestion is it would disincentive positive foreign investments aka building industry. If on one hand we tariff a country heavily for not building in America and then ban them from owning ANYTHING here then that is dealing in bad faith and cripple us from using trade as a diplomatic tool and a means for economic growth.

yes only legitimate companies can own land for legitimate businesses. they shouldnt be allowed to buy public land and or parks.

This can be resolved as part of the “reciprocal” trade package,if you cannot own property in x country ,they cannot own here
.

Ban foreign countries, foreign businesses, foreign people from owning land, businesses, anything inside the US. Only legal American citizens should be allowed to own anything inside the US.

I so agree , in Mexico a non citizen cannot own land or a home, they can lease it for 100 years but not own it.
