Banks are now asking why you want to withdrawal your money from your account. I have had my business accounts card locked at least 4 times a month for the last 2 years for shopping.(food industry) I have to answer questions about what I bought at each store to have my card unlocked. Understand fraud, but I do not need to explain what I purchase to a bank. If I want to withdrawal a larger amount of money I get questioned. It isn’t thier business, I can do whatever I want with my money. This is becoming a more common occurrence and it should not be allowed. If I have an issue I will call the bank, they do not need to be monitoring my account that closely that I get flagged for shopping at Sam’s club. They are now asking that I call everytime I leave the state or they will lock my card for use. Again I understand and appreciate the fraud protection but this is a blatant violation of my privacy and disruption of my business. It should not be allowed in any circumstance.
The bank should not be doing that. Maybe contact the corporate department of that bank and let them know what is going on. They may not be aware. Maybe you should switch banks. Credit unions are good.
