Absolutely not! Who do you think programs those AIs?
Nope. Never. Power to the People. Period.
Anyone can
This is possible, but it may have to come into fruition via a nonprofit legal watchdog that builds an open source ai that isnt tied to a government or big tech. Im all for this, hopefully someone smarter than me sees this and gets it done.
One big problem is who programs the AI currently many AI models are constantly reprogrammed to think a certain way. This is a huge problem. As you mentioned biases this would highly encourage biases from the programmer and be harder to see as biases. Such as constantly having to reprogram it to not use 2 genders. But rather the anyone can be female thought. Sorry but i couldnât trust this at all at current state of things. As AI is owned by a handful of people with horrible ideas they are trying to push.
AI will dominate humanity only IF humanity allows it, whether by choice or by neglect, probably the later. The machines are bigger and faster but essentially no different than the originals that screw up regularly.
Now we are apparently entering a new age of computing where the machine is so fast that it can arrive at an answer well before we can calculate a proof of its accuracy or failure. Quantum computing is beyond my poor mind to even comprehend how it works. The concern in what I have read about it is that it it is so fast and accurate that we have neither the time nor ability to prove itsâ answers are even correct! Add AI to a computer we cannot prove is accurate and we are shooting with our eyes closed.
I havenât even figured out how a âBitcoinâ is any different than a 17th century tulip bulb. And I donât want to be around when and if we find out there isnât any difference.
Good luck younginâ!
