2nd Amendment - Policy Merger
I propose merging the following policy proposals into #1:

@Merlin
No government makes firearms laws, or stockpiles their own arms, to protect law abiding citizens - they do these things to protect themselves from us! This breaches the very core of our Constitution and risks the ruin of all else contained within it.
Every law, rule, policy or government agency that places limits on the private ownership of any type of âarmsâ is a direct violation - an âinfringementâ to our constitution.

There has been an attack on both the 1st and 2nd amendments insinuating they are not absolute. We need to reiterate the bill of rights and solidify the understanding that these are God given rights, that canât be adjusted manipulated, changed, or limited. We have the right to speak our mind regardless of how our verbiage or message is interpreted. We have the right to protect ourselves and our families from anyone that wishes to encroach on our rights, including our own government. The 2nd amendâŚ

Rescind the unconstitutional ban on the possession of legally owned firearms, on all stateside military installations, that President Bill Clinton illegally put in place in the early 90s, thus making all military bases gun free zones and soft targets for mass shooters. Restore 2nd Amendment rights for all people who live, work, or visit military installations by allowing legal gun owners to possess personal firearms. All non violent offenders, if having done all of the required programs, restitution, etc. Should have their rights restored automatically. Some states make you jump through hoops and this process can take 2 years. Itâs been 25 years since my theft and drug convictions and i canât legally protect my family. Itâs not right! There should be a set period of time after completion of all of this and rights automatically restored! That is not asking too much for those of us that made mistakes but actuâŚ

Your first amendment rights do not end at state lines.
Your first amendment rights do not cost hundreds of dollars or take years to obtain.
Your second amendment rights should be no different.
Millions of Americans live on or near state lines and their constitutional right to defend themselves is currently being infringed.
No other constitutional right ends at state lines.

Since the 2nd Amendment is in our Constitution we need to normalize Gun Safety in our schools and schools need to not only offer the course but it should be a mandatory course. Accidental deaths are far more statistically higher from the misuse of a firearm. If Gun Safety and the proper use of a firearm is offered we could see a decrease in accidents and increase of proper use of a firearm.
Just seeing a gun is scary to people. If people knew how to respect a firearm and knew the proper use ofâŚ

The 2 largest 2nd amendment violations in the history of this country are the National Firearms Act and the Gun Control Act of 1968.
The NFA was originally enacted in 1934. Similar to the current NFA, the original Act imposed a tax on the making and transfer of firearms defined by the Act, as well as a special (occupational) tax on persons and entities engaged in the business of importing, manufacturing, and dealing in NFA firearms. The law also required the registration of all NFA firearms witâŚ

The ATF for YEARS now have lost site of their true prupose as a law enforcment agency. They are now too busy going after every day Joes and attempting to make their own rules into punishable crimes. Lets also not forget that time they burned women and childen with tanks and also gave the cartels full auto machine guns.
The ATF is a law enforcment agency NOT a law making body. They also seem to lack great knowledge about firearms or are deliberately dishonest when it comes to their opinions on tâŚ

The people no longer have the right to bear arms, we now have the right to bear arms the tyrannical bureaucrats hiding in Washington bunkers and behind their armed guards deem âsafe for civilian use.â The bureaucrats in Washington have gotten away with ignoring the very simple term âSHALL NOT BE INFRINGEDâ for decades, and it has completely uprooted the very purpose of the 2nd amendment; the right of the people to be able to defend themselves against a tyrannical force, and that means being ableâŚ

Policy: Mandatory Firearm Safety Education for High School Juniors and Seniors
Purpose
This policy ensures that all high school juniors and seniors in the United States receive mandatory education in firearm safety and proper utilization. The goal is to reduce accidental shootings, promote public safety, encourage responsible firearm use, and educate students on appropriate situations for firearm use.
Scope
This policy applies to all public and private high schools in the United States. It mâŚ

End ALL taxation on anything to do with the manufacture, transport, and sale of guns. This would include raw materials, buildings, transportation vehicles, machinery, taxes on manufacturing all of these things previously listed as well as utilities, fuel, property, and the like needed to get the Constitutionally guaranteed guns to those who have this right more cheaply. I agree with the intent of what youâve written here except for the use of the word God.
The constitution is not written by God, so God is not involved in guaranteeing the rights contained in it. There is definitely no God claiming to give us the right to bear arms in any religious text Iâve ever heard of - since guns had not yet been invented when most religious documents were written. Gods are also not going to enforce our rights which is why they must be spelled out in a legal document that claims to have the force of law.
For these reasons, and also to be fair to people who adhere to other religions, other gods, or no gods or goddesses at all - I would take this word out.

@Chefejvegas77 , I already have this included in #5 with this textâŚ
#5 Repeal all laws that withhold gun rights from individuals convicted of non-violent criminal offenses.
This seems to cover what youâre saying in your proposal.
Would you change it?
Nope that covers it exactly
Along similar lines;
Iâve grown tired of the same politicians using our tax dollars to defend these infringements; They get to use all the public funds (including what I pay in) to make me a criminal by passing unconstitutional infringements and I only have whatâs left of the money they donât take to defend my rights.
And if they lose the case we still pay the cost⌠they need more skin in the gameâŚ
See hereâŚ
Problem; Lawmakers who pass unconstitutional laws or laws found unconstitutional by SCOTUS are allowed the full weight of taxpayer government funding to defend the legislation in court and uphold the legislation as it exists in law. Additionally there are no repercussions for such egregious violations of our rights outside of a POSSIBLE defeat in an upcoming election; history has shown that through a corrupted system this is unlikely.

Hey I completely agree with this policy concept, however it concerns more general lawmaking that should be a policy all its own and not contained only in his topic of 2nd amendment.
If you make it general it will apply here and everywhere all at the same time.

MY 2nd amendment rights to not end at my state border or at any state border of the UNITED STATES. PERIOD!! My constitutional RIGHT should be automatically recognized IN ALL STATES AND TERRITORIES WITHOUT LIMITATION!! If I have to obtain a license to carry a firearm my RIGHT, then becomes a privilege for which I need permission from the state! THIS IS A VIOLATION OF MY GOD GIVEN RIGHT which is codified in our constitution!
