Andrew (“Andy”) J. Calverase, owner/ operator of Pathfinder Firearms Training LLC, joined the US Army at age 17 and served for a total of 32 years; 20 of that in the Special Forces (SF)/ Civil Affairs (CA)/ Special Operations Community (SOC). Completed seven combat tours and was entrusted to operate in dozens of high-visibility/high-risk environments as both a member of an SF team, and as a low-profile single (singleton) operator. Tasked with training foreign soldiers to shoot, move, and communicate at the individual level, as well as training foreign forces to execute high-risk operations at the combined strike force unit level. Post retirement from the military in 2014, completed a Bachelor’s degree in “Strategic Intelligence Studies”, (Suma Cum Laude) and began work as a government contractor supporting Special Forces operations on the continent of Africa as an “Operations Integrator” until April of 2021. Retired in order to focus full attention on becoming a civilian pistol/ self / home defense instructor in the NOVA area.
