I think every bill should focus on just one issue. Right now, lawmakers often add unrelated things to bills to get them passed. This makes it hard to know what’s actually being voted on, and it lets bad or unnecessary things sneak through.
With single-issue bills, we’d have:
• Clearer laws that are easy to understand.
• More accountability for lawmakers—they can’t hide behind confusing bills.
• Better decisions, since each issue would stand on its own.
Some might say this would take longer, but I think it’s worth it. It’s better to pass fewer, clear laws than rush through huge bills full of hidden extras. This change would make the government more honest and focused on what people really need.
