Term Limits For Congress- Ran Like Jury Duty

I believe that there should be frequent overturn in the House Of Representatives and the Senate.
Every 2 years for the House and every 3 years for Senate.

I think if voting could be ruled out- it would probably be ideal. Instead of richest gets best campaign/ elected, let’s just send out notices like jury duty that inform you you’ve been selected.

Your job is legally held for the length of your term, you as an average every day American can actually go to bat for us little men.
You can serve the full length of your term, but once it is over- you can’t extend. You’ll go back to your job that is legally held for you or if the company went under while you were away- there will be payments up to 9 months for you to find new employment.

This eliminates career politicians and voting fraud, and let’s not kid ourselves- people run to vote for president. They don’t necessarily do the same for House/ Senate.

By having an automated system send out letters to random citizens- this allows normal every day people to bring real solutions to real problems- there’s no ulterior motives. It allows for clear lines to be drawn that no one can repeat or extend terms.
Normal everyday people probably won’t write 2,000 page bills and will probably be satisfied with 5 pages tops.

I absolutely love this idea!!!

It takes a congressman/woman time to make connections and figure out things work and therefore become productive. Instead of term limits, I would prefer to provide vouchers to voters who would then decide which politcal candidate gets their voucher to use for their election and make any other means of campaign contribution illegal. This would eliminate lobbyist and corporations from making big donations to “their” candidate. Vouchers might be worth some amount of money, perhaps $100 each. This approach would also lower the outrageous cost of elections and make it possible for newcomers to the politcal process get elected.

I would prefer term limits for all. Senators are every 6 years now, make their limits 2 terms that gives them 12 years. The house would need longer terms, so their limits 4 terms. Everyone is in congress so long now they forget what it is like to be a common person. They go in and retire and become millionaires. They should not have special retirement packages or special insurance packages since they are already able to afford insurance and retirement packages before they are elected. I just don’t believe our for fathers intended our legislators to retire in office.
