Help college kids get through college without spending a fortune! Reduce degrees to 3 years by getting rid of the useless required diversity classes such as religion, gender studies, women’s studies, culture studies, etc. These classes can be offered as optional for those that want to take them but don’t make them required!
How about getting rid of required math classes for people in degrees that will NEVER use algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, etc in their chosen career? Again - they can take those classes if they wish, just don’t require.
Physical education - again, optional for those wishing it, not required.
Offer these optional classes noncredit and free to all college students: typing, career planning & outlook, personal finance, health, English for students who need to brush up on speaking skills, and physical fitness activities.
Offer video recorded 100-200 level classes on local TV stations for the public who cannot afford college education (and so that incoming students may test out of 100 level classes if they can show they already know the material).
