I’m a 24 year mil/civ air traffic control vet and our staffing levels and training have never been worse. We need more people and more thorough training. While I’d like to be privatized, until that happens the DOT/FAA needs to hire more people. Local hiring fairs in metro areas where people can work where they are from instead of being sent across the country and never being able to transfer world be an excellent way to help combat the severe staffing shortages nationwide. I love my job, but it could be so much less stressful and fatiguing with some more help. Thank you!
