Completely revamp the Tax Code.
I would propose a 10% flat income tax rate on everyone’s base income up to 40 hours/week. No tax on overtime. No tax on tips. No tax on Bonuses. Etc. Increase tarriffs and remove/drastically reduce all other taxes on the federal levels. Such as sales tax, capital gains tax, payroll tax, etc.
Having a continuous flat rate, regardless of the amount of base income, would ensure everyone would pay their fair share.
Eliminate loopholes where people can hide their income in offshore accounts so the rich cant evade taxes.
This would also make end of the year filling much simpler without fear of imprisonment due to unrealized error. You made $100,000 of base pay income that year (not including overtime, Bonuses, tips), you only pay $10,000 in tax.
We are not slaves to a system and should have a right to the money we earn through our own hard work without every penny being taxed by our government. This would allow families to be together more often and people would begin to afford a living. Moms and Dads could be home with their children more often instead of having to work multiple jobs just so their family can get by.
