Many babies are born with a tongue and or lip tied. Often this results with difficulty breastfeeding followed by formula feeding causing pain, decreased health and distress to a new Mom and baby.
Traditionally, midwives would check a baby at birth and clip any tied skin. This practice has been stopped in modern medicine due to over clipping. With todays knowledge and correct studies we can restore this in our hospitals without over clipping, only helping those babies and Moms which it directly effects healthy breastfeeding. In severe cases it effects a baby bottle drinking as well.
