Ranked Voting for Policy Priorities with Citizen Write-In System (Not Rank Choice Voting for people)

Proposal: Ranked Voting for Policy Priorities with Citizen Write-In System

Objective: To create a voting system that not only determines the winning candidate but also ensures that all voters, regardless of the election outcome, have their policy priorities and innovative ideas considered in the political agenda.

Proposal Overview:
In addition to voting for a candidate, this system would allow voters to rank key policy issues (e.g., healthcare, economy, education) by order of importance. Alongside the ranked voting, a write-in option would be provided for voters to submit ideas that may not be on the ballot—ensuring that even fringe or unconventional issues get a platform.

Key Components:

1.	Ranked Voting for Policies:
•	Voters would rank their top 3-5 policy priorities.
•	After the election, these rankings would be aggregated to show the government what the voters care about most, allowing policy priorities to reflect the will of the people—not just the election winner.
2.	Write-In System for Fringe Ideas:
•	In addition to the ranked issues, voters can submit a write-in idea for any issue or policy that is not included on the ballot.
•	These ideas don’t necessarily need to be addressed immediately but could inspire new policy discussions and creative solutions that might not have been considered by the majority.
•	This gives citizens an avenue to voice concerns or propose solutions that could shape future policy, even if they are not part of mainstream political conversations.

How This Promotes Fairness:

•	Every voter’s voice is heard: Even if a candidate loses, their supporters’ policy concerns are still reflected in the broader political agenda.
•	Inclusive democracy: Citizens from all walks of life, including those with unconventional ideas, have a chance to contribute to the national dialogue through the write-in system.
•	Accountability and Transparency: Post-election feedback could show voters how their input influenced policy decisions, fostering a deeper connection between citizens and the elected government.

Conclusion:
This system would ensure that every vote counts beyond just selecting a candidate. It would reflect the diverse concerns of the electorate, empowering both mainstream and fringe ideas to be considered in the policymaking process. By allowing citizens to rank issues and propose new ideas, this system would create a more responsive, inclusive, and representative democracy.

Unfortunately RCV has vote-splitting & wastes votes depending on the order of elimination since RCV rounds tally from least-liked choices up, distributing votes to other choices only if the choices are still there. S.T.A.R. (Score Then Automatic Runoff) Voting @5starvoting is a better system because voters rate choices & every vote counts simultaneously, showing the top rated choice simply.

This is not rank choice voting for People. This is rank choice voting for policies, voting will be regular for candidates,

Except we will put some policies on the ballot as well as candidates. They don’t directly impact anything, however it lets the winning candidates gauge the pulse of america in a detail manner and know where they will get the most impact on Policies.

Let me know if I have to revamp my page so that people could understand this has nothing to do with voting for people, but only voting for the main policies that impact Americans.

An improvement on 5-star that is less complicated for the voter and sticks to one person one vote is proportional past the post. The will of the majority, even if split and weakened in a specific district, would be conserved overall.
