Amend the Federal Criminal statutes to classify certain severe election interference crimes—such as intentional digital vote flipping, the creation and counting of fraudulent ballots, and unauthorized multiple recounts—as treason, with penalties including capital punishment. Without a substantial deterrent against election fraud, the integrity of free and fair elections cannot be guaranteed.
Relevant Federal Laws:
Treason Defined: Under 18 U.S.C. § 2381, treason is defined as levying war against the United States or adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. This amendment could expand the interpretation of treason to include egregious acts undermining the electoral process.
Election Offenses: 52 U.S.C. § 10307 outlines various federal election offenses, including voting fraud and vote tampering. The proposal seeks to enhance the penalties for such offenses to the level of treason.
Capital Punishment: 18 U.S.C. § 3591 details the penalties for federal crimes punishable by death, outlining circumstances under which capital punishment may be applied.
These changes aim to reinforce the sanctity of elections and ensure that all citizens can trust in the electoral process.
On the pro side, election fraud and other hijinks (e.g. intentionally letting dead and other ineligible people remain on state voter rolls so partisans can steal elections) is the one crime that can harm and even kill people across the country. Not even murder negatively effects as many people as stolen elections do.
On the con side, there are already many laws on the books that are not enforced, or are only enforced when they can be brought to bear on opponents to iron-fisted Democrat rule resulting from stolen elections. More laws that Dems would never enforce against their own are, unfortunately, pointless.
Your points are well taken, clearly my proposal requires a Trump victory and an AG like Paxton to implement. However, if Trump were to publicly propose this idea as one of intended policies, it should have significant chilling deterrent effect on the likes of those in Fulton County who forged and recounted forged ballots multiple times and on the likes of electronic vote machine manipulators in Maricopa county even before its passage into law.
it’s really hard to get any amendment passed. but I agree with you that election interference should be raised to the same level as an act of war against the people of the USA. They are terrorists/enemy combatants.
