Relationship Responsibility Act needs put in place…Child support costs taxpayers billions in court time, enforcement of families, child support, divorces, fostering. Child support enforcement agency spend 6.3 billion in 2023. Not to mention the disgusting law firms making billions on family court, divorce, child support. I bet they love the breakdown of families. This kind of crap needs to end. Our country has become so entitled its disgusting. All I here is well what about this, or that. What about the moms or the poor kid’s. Then if they dont like what you say your deemed evil for not supporting children and families. You know whats evil? Taxing other people because of your poor relationship choices. Nobody takes accountability anymore in who they have sex with or marry because the government provides all these easy ways out. Divorces should be difficult. We essentially treat marriage like any other relationship that you can end at anytime. Dont get married if you dont take it seriously. Divorce rate in this country is ridiculous. Instead its blame one person as if one person made that decision to get married or have kids. If two people get married and you have kids, if you get divorced later. Its on both of you. You failed. Father runs off? Its still both your fault. He made a poor choices and so did you in choosing him to have a kid with. Where is the responsibility??? Its all on taxpayers. I know people will say you cant predict if a man will run off. What does that have to do with it? You cant predict investments either. Should we constantly bail out investors bad choices? No. A relationship is an investment, of eachother. A woman currently can basically make poor choices in men, poor choices in every aspect of life. Get pregnant, just murder the child if they dont want it. Collect child support. Make taxpayers fund tracking down the man you chose to sleep with and left you. Its on you!! Stop asking for 
. Same goes for men. Wheres the responsibility for the poor women you chose to sleep with? Its not taxpayers fault you married a woman who sleeps around. Our founding fathers did not worry about families, children, child support. Because government is meant to stay out of it. You know why? Because it costs money, tax payer money, OTHER peoples money and the time of law enforcementand courts. But we have become so entitled, everyone wants to avoid responsibility and put it on taxpayers.

I swear we need tests for who can vote. Who pays for jailing and law enforcement wasting tax dollars and time on dead beat dads. You think there was the same problem in 1776? Its not taxpayers and governments jobs to be responsible for peoples failed relationships.
6.3 billion spent on child support enforcement. Not to mention its unconstitutional since States get dollars for enforcing it which then falls on judges. Judges are to be 3rd party impartial so that they up hold constitutional rights. But they are not impartial since its in the States best interest to enforce payment. Its like a brib. Who pays for fostering? It not free. What made you think this was free, no cost to taxpayers?
I like alot of the ideas on here but this one, not so much. Child abandonment should be a crime and enforced by law. You can’t just leave your kids because you get board with your wife/ husband or have a mid life crisis and move to a different state and leave your kids hungry, in fact that should have worse consequences. This would end up costing us way more in the long run. I do agree that sleeping around and having a bunch kids and expecting the tax payer to care for you and yours is gross but enforcing parents to take care of their kids is something our society needs to prevent this.
Maybe if you make it a minimum of a year in jail for abandonment of your children this wouldn’t be an issue. If you let one parent off scott free why hold the other parent accountable? What happens if the second parent just leaves their kids with no money at a friends home? This would enable alot of kids being dropped at other families doors and more kids in the system.
I however do agree its on the people who made the choices and whomever ran off should have to pay the state for any cost they accrued searching and enforcing support
If your taking half my salary when im supposed to get 50/50 custody. Thats not child abandonment. Thats parental alienation. Do you know how much lawyers cost. Most fathers cant afford to fight it. Judges are supposed to be impartial. The states profit from enforcement getting federal money from CSO for enforcing. So do the counties. Thats unconstitutional. Its basically a bribe, here judges force as many to pay as you can. Its people like you who have no understanding of rights. All you see is oh the poor kids and dont care about fathers or peoples rights. I got a better idea, since you think its men avoiding responsibility. Why are women being allowed to avoid responsibility? They get pregnant, murder babies, in some states they can even give up the child to state, who pays for that? Taxpayers. No child support for abandoning child. On top of that they can choose any man, sleep with him to get pregnant. If he runs, who has to pay for the womans poor choice in men? Why is it tax payers and law enforcements problem?? Im a caseworker. I got one client collecting 3 child supports and some benefits who doesnt work and gets free rent because she qualifies as a veteran. She should be the one in jail. A bum. And people like you call the fathers dead beats or abandonment for not being in kids lives. Divorced men commit suicide is like 3x higher than women. Gee i wonder why. If those numbers were reversed the country would be crying we got an epidemic on our hands for women. I was like 20 years old when a man I worked with killed himself. He was paying so much support he could not afford rent. Moved into a church basement. Hung himself. Leaving notes to his kids. Decades of fathers struggling. I believe in God. Child support is of the devil. All who support or took part(judges, lawyers) in evils being done to others and smile about, pat yourselves on the back like your good people, your not. You destroyed lives. Its always funny how you all think hurting fathers does not hurt kids too. Your sick.

Its the last 100 yrs that got us in this mess. Child support is another entitlement. People think that they are owed something for a bad relationship choice. They are not. And they turn around using children. Its disgusting. They use children like a shield for a pity party. I love kids. My oldest two adopted. Unfortunately i was pushed out financially. They no longer care about their father me, i call, send cards, gifts. But the new boyfriend gets all the time which is what matters. I will always have the early years. Memories that put a smile on my face. Its not their fault. Its their mother and the system and all those that favor child support thinking money is more important than the kids having their father fulltime. When i was divorced i was a fulltime student getting straight A’s, working as a para educator making 1200 a month. Not much. Was taking my daughters to their softball games. Being a dad. Courts ordered me pay half my income. I lost my grant that helped pay for school because only one of us could claim kids on tax form. Grant had some special family requirement so i lost it. She got to finish school. Her state lawyer was like 100 bucks. The state legal aid service would not represent both of us. So i had to find a real lawyer costing thousands. My grandmother got cancer, my mom kidney disease. My situation was not good so i moved home to help them and atleast i could afford to pay child support. No rent at home. But i had to move 6 hrs away. Rarely seeing my kids due to money and distance. I cried many a night missing my kids. Severe depression set in. I had 2 suicide attempts, watched my grandma slowly die. My mom on her ending stages with kidney disease. But hey the mom gets her money. Thats all that matters to people. They dont care about kids or fathers. I survived. My ex has dragged her kids thru 4 relationships now. It should be considered child abuse. My oldest two had their biological father, i adopted them as he didnt want to be in their life. Years later their mom cheats, gives me divorce papers. Moves in with boyfriend. Leaves him year later. Now she married again. My oldest essentially has had 3-4 father figures. She still calls me dad atleast. She knew me the longest. But she rarely says anything to me at 18. Unless i start the conversation.
It is against the law to not pay child support that is ordered by a judge. Also, court fees are paid by individuals. When those people don’t pay, someone has to track them down.
By your logic, if someone commits a crime then the criminal should what? Just not have done such a thing? Why do our tax dollars go to prosecuting criminals who made bad decisions? They shouldn’t have made those bad decisions to begin with.
You’re basically proposing the decriminalization of skipping out on court ordered child support payments. Why don’t we criminalize having children at all? Or better yet, sterilize all men until they can prove they are responsible enough to handle providing for a child they bring into the world.

Disobeying a judge’s order is a crime, thus they are criminals that can be fined and jailed. It’s called contempt.

I am willing to bet Federal Child support office and their 6.3 billion a year cost to enforce is one of them. Not the tax payers responsibility. Find better people to have kids with. we need to direct other fathers in this situations to this website and hear their voices. Fathers are just too busy working to pay child support (unlike their exes who have all the time in the world to post on Facebook while their rent is getting paid by someone else)
I agree, I changed my title to what i would call a Responsibility Act. People need to make better choices in relationships. Government should not be bailing people out of their problems
