Protecting parental choice and access to pediatric care

We need policy changes to protect parents’ rights to make informed decisions about their children’s healthcare without fear of losing access to essential medical services. Too often, families are finding themselves dismissed from pediatric practices for declining or modifying the recommended vaccine schedule, a decision that should be made between parents and doctors without external pressures. Insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies should not be allowed to influence medical practices by incentivizing doctors’ offices to enforce a rigid vaccine schedule. Implementing policies to prevent these dismissals would ensure that all children, regardless of vaccine status, have consistent and supportive access to healthcare.

This goes for things like school/ college admission as well.
