Mothers should get longer maternity leave (no less than 1 year) without using vacation time, and automatically get FMLA & short term disability with just proof of pregnancy (instead of a ton of disability paper work) from the start of pregnancy (to include appointments, days they are to tired, days they are sick, days they might have emergencies). This should also include the father as well so they can attend appointments or stay home to provide care for the mother without going unpaid and causing financial burdens on the expecting family (that might already have other children to support).
