Plant Trees in Urban Areas

Wasn’t quite sure which tag to put it in, but planting more trees in the urban areas is the BEST way to go.

The absolute problem with the heat, isn’t “man made climate change” per se, but it is due to urbanization and the heat being trapped in the sidewalks and pavement.

Adding more trees will provide good natural shade to prevent heat trapped in the pavement while still helping to provide cleaner air, help soak up and prevent flood water in developed areas, and give shade to any homeless person that may not have access to air conditioning.

I’d be curious about the impact of more trees and greenspaces on the mental health of those living in urban areas too!

Idea: encourage commercial and residential building owners to install roof-top greenhouses to allow urbanites to engage with nature and connect with their food sources.

I agree common sense and reasonableness should always be first

They have fruit trees in parks Germany. It’s way to keep people healthier . I think it’s no brainer. Even a few pecan trees would be great as well.
