Concrete and asphalt at scale absorbs the suns energy and radiates it back into the atmosphere. This is the root cause of rising temperatures in Populus areas of large cities.
Proposal is to remove unnecessary concrete and asphalt, revert to gravel and grass where convenient, and to grow as much trees and vegetation as we can across our cities.
First conduct a study of rural and urban temperatures to prove this theory.
