The Fair Representation Act combines three main components:
- Multi-member districts for U.S. House elections
- Ranked choice voting in these elections
- New requirements for congressional redistricting
The Fair Representation Act will apply this reform to all elections to the U.S. House, aka The People’s House, and improve its legislative function — and our democracy.

Sorely needed, but especially for non-R and non-D representation. Gerrymandering gone, absolutely.
Ranked choice is a rash idea. Too many opportunities for manipulation by the connected, resulting in outcomes the voters didn’t necessarily want, and many resentments over perceived unfairness.
Suggestion: everyone votes for one representative. If, say, Rs all vote for one favorite overwhelmingly, that R may assign as many of his votes to others as he sees fit. Similarly, losing candidates can assign their few votes to other candidates of their choice. Highest N vote-getters go to the House.
