National Voting Laws-Every State Has Same Rules

Federal Voting Law - Every State Needs Same Rules & Guidelines

-Must have some form of ID to vote!!

-National registration website/database dedicated only for registration, checking your registration, voting locations etc.

-You should have to re register every 10 years with proof that you are a legal citizen.

-Eliminate registering via dmv in your state so you can not be registered to vote in different states at the same time. Have one nation wide registration database.

-When someone passes away & a death certificate is ordered it should automatically remove all voting registrations & prevent any future registrations under the deceased name.

-Every state should be using the same voting machine/system, paper ballots only that get scanned into a machine. So there are two forms of counting & paper ballots can be re counted as a back up.

-Make our own voting machines in America that scan each ballot & saves the image of each ballot to a SD card, paper ballot gets stored into the machine & can easily be taken out to be hand counted if needed. So there are two copies of a ballot, one paper one digital.

-Mail in ballots should start getting counted the day before Election Day & have to be completely finished counting all mail in ballots by midnight Nov 4th, so Nov 5th is only in person voting.

-Mail in ballots/absentee ballots should have stricter protocols around them. Once someone applies for a mail in ballot it updates into the national database that that individual can’t vote in person as well.

-On Election Day all ballots must be counted & submitted by midnight. there should be no reason for counting to continue into the next day, hire more poll workers per polling place so there is never an excuse to count past midnight.

-Mandatory that there is an equal amount of registered republicans & democrats at every in person voting location. These people should go through a thorough application process to be a poll worker.

-As a New Yorker, cities need to stop determining the outcome for the entire state. Each County should get an equal vote toward the states outcome. Each county should get 1 point toward their states outcome, if 47 counties out of 62 vote red then the state should be red. Or break the state up into 3 zones, NYC, Long Island, Upstate.
