I understand many of us would like to see the Dept. of Education closed/disbanded, but so long as it “lives” we could implement a National Civics test that is required to pass for graduation. We want the next generation to have the same understanding of the American system and how it works just as migrants do. This could be linked with a National Voter ID system, you pass the test, get your picture taken for your ID, and gain your voting rights. The test is held once a month and as a citizen, you can retake it as many times until you pass. Would likely need to be an amendment (replace the on saying 18 is the voting age most likely, or as an addendum)
