I am currently a mother married to a blue collar husband. I have to work full time and have a healthcare background of having my CNA/Med tech license for 16 years. Because my husband is a blue collar worker and gets up early and home late I am left to get all the kids to the places they need to go which I love being a mom but I have had to pull out of my career to get something that works hours wise for us. When I apply for jobs that I am able to do and I am upfront about my kids and how it is with my husband and the kids. I am denied these jobs because I can’t be completely available to the job due to having kids. Which they won’t hire me because I have a family of young kids. I feel like there needs to be something done about this. I can’t even move up in life at this time because of being a mom. I really believe I am not the only one !!!
